Breast Enlargement Cost

Cosmetic Reconstructive Surgery

Although the national average of breast surgeons' fees is between $3,000 and $4,000, this does not reflect the full amount a patient is likely to pay. Firstly, this figure includes the cost of breast implants themselves and their placement, but not the anesthesia, medical facility fee, prescriptions, surgical garments, medical testing, or any other charges related to pre- and post-operative care. Secondly, the surgeon’s fee and related charges will fluctuate not only from region to region, but also from practice to practice. Cosmetic surgeons, surgical facilities, and anesthesiologists in larger cities or more affluent neighborhoods are likely to charge more for their services. Finally, every breast enhancement procedure is unique and there are a variety of factors that will influence the breast augmentation surgery cost, including the type of implant chosen, the way it is placed, and the level of complexity presented by the particular case.

If you are considering breast augmentation, be sure to ask you surgeon what fees will be charged and what those fees cover. Although the cost of breast augmentation should not be the determining factor in choosing a surgeon, you should be well informed about the overall cost of your procedure before beginning the process, in order to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Although low cost breast implants and augmentation surgery may be enticing, finding a cheap breast augmentation quote should not be your primary goal when selecting a cosmetic surgeon. There are several reasons why choosing a surgeon who offers breast augmentation prices at a dramatically reduced cost can be a bad decision.

Breast enlargements

Most importantly, there is some truth to the saying, “you get what you pay for.” Choosing a surgeon based on fees instead of credentials can leave you with less than satisfactory results. The ideal surgeon is one who is board certified, experienced, and professional. You should feel that he or she is paying attention to your opinions and concerns and will put your best interests first. In most cases, this type of surgeon does not have to offer discounts to attract patients.

Next, it is important that you always read the fine print. Often, advertised breast augmentation prices are only a portion of the cost you will be required to pay. They may include the surgeon’s fee, for example, but leave out the costs of anesthesia, the surgical facility, or even the breast implant cost. Patients should be suspicious of any prices that seem too good to be true.

On the other hand, high breast augmentation prices do not guarantee the best or highest quality results. You should not choose a surgeon based on a high fee any more than you should choose one based on a low fee. The most important factors in selecting your cosmetic surgeon should be education, experience, board certification, and your ability to feel comfortable with that person.

Smart Liposuction

Smart Liposuction, step by step

From the first consultation to the planning of hospital stay and health care administration, learn what happens during smart liposuction.

Before smart liposuction surgery

Smart liposuction is a surgical procedure that must be prepared several weeks in advance. During the initial consultation, you will be briefed about the main specifications (cost of intervention, fees, expected results ...) etc. You will also make an appointment with the anesthesiologist for a complete report of pre-operative (including blood tests) and decide if you are undergoing general or local anesthesia. Regarding your luggage, do not go overboard! Take the bare minimum.

Preparation for the smart liposuction intervention

You must arrive early on the morning of surgery: you need time to get settled in your room. Then you will meet the medical team and you can ask your last question to your surgeon before surgery. Generally, nurses administer pre-medication as a mild sedative, to allow patients that are a little anxious to calm down.

At the time of the smart liposuction surgery, you will be taken to the operating room, where the team is already there with specific instructions like installing drapes and diagrams to make incisions. The operation usually lasts between half-hour and two hours, depending on the amount of fat to remove. The anesthesiologist will then proceed to anesthesia, by injecting an infusion product that takes effect after a few minutes ...

After intervention

When your smart liposuction surgery is over, the medical team will take you back to your room, you'll be in recovery phase. It is also common to receive painkillers and sedatives to alleviate any pain and improve patient comfort. Regarding the duration of stay, you will stay in the hospital overnight. When you leave, (in the morning if all goes well) you can move and walk but probably with a little discomfort. After about a week, the post-op consultation takes place allowing the surgeon to perform a routine check and withdraw stitches. Enjoy your new smart liposuction!

Laser Skin Resurfacing Surgery

Laser skin resurfacing is one of the newest cosmetic procedures to repair damaged facial skin. A laser beam of light is used to vaporize the outer layers of damaged skin at precisely controlled levels of penetration. As a result, new skin layers are exposed which results in a tighter, smoother, and younger looking skin surface.

Your skin will be resurfaced using either a Erbium or Carbon Dioxide laser. The Erbium laser is used to treat areas of dark skin pigmentation resulting from cumulative sun damage, freckles and other brown spots, and fine wrinkles. It can also be used to treat melasma or "pregnancy mask" which can appear as brown patches on the cheeks and upper lips of pregnant women or those taking oral contraceptives. Unlike the Carbon Dioxide laser which can only be used on facial skin, the Erbium laser can, in some instances, be used to treat the neck as well. The results are improved skin tone, and the reduction of mild acne scars and superficial fine lines. Recovery time is usually one week.

The Carbon Dioxide Laser is used to reduce deeper "icicle pit" acne scars and deep lines in the facial skin. Areas treated include the skin of the lower eyelids, forehead wrinkles and upper lid creases. This technique is also beneficial around the lip area to reduce the fine vertical lines that cause lipstick to "bleed". After surgery, the skin is supple, softer and more youthful looking. Recovery time is two to six months. The skin will change from red to pink to normal during the recovery period. Patients may use make-up within 10 to 14 days post-procedure.

Whether you have chosen the Erbium or Carbon Dioxide laser treatment, there are several steps to be taken to make sure your skin is properly prepared to receive the maximum benefit from the procedure. There are also steps you can take after surgery to help your skin heal quickly and smoothly.

Eyelid Plastic Surgery

Eyelid Plastic Surgery

Some people decide to get eyelid plastic surgery to correct the effects of aging while other people will do it because of inherited traits such as bags under the eye and that will encourage them to seek treatment at a younger age. If the weight of the upper eyelid is accompanied by sagging eyebrows, the eyelid plastic surgery may be coupled with a lifting of the forehead. Crows feet could be treated with Botox, a peeling chemical or laser resurfacing.

A dip in the eye may be filled with a fat grafting or lifting. High blood pressure, problems with thyroid cancer and diabetes may explain the need for eyelid plastic surgery. Your plastic surgeon will ask you about known allergies or any other eye problems.

For the upper eyelid, the incision through which we will remove excess skin and fat is hidden in the natural lid fold. Because the incision follows the natural contour of the eyelid, the incision will be well hidden once cured. The incision in lower eyelid plastic surgery is usually hidden below the lashes.

Through this incision, we will remove the excess of skin, muscle and fat. To correct problems such as muscle laxity, we practice canthopexy to tighten the lid. With your plastic surgeon, you may decide to employ a technique that involves a lower transconjunctival eyelid plastic surgery.

Although this technique is more suitable to younger patients, it will not remove the excess skin so we can then use the laser to tighten the skin under the eyes.

After surgery you may feel a sensation of dryness or irritation to the eye which may require additional treatment. There is also a possibility of temporary decrease in eyelid sensation.

In some rare cases, mild swelling persist for several weeks. However, swelling should disappear after seven days. Bruises generally disappear in seven to ten days as well.

Increased sensitivity to light could involve the temporary use of sunglasses will also protect from wind and sunlight. Tearing or excessive dryness may also occur. Your plastic surgeon will prescribe you eye drops to relieve irritation.

The complete healing usually takes four to six months. Healing is generally very good and the scars are not noticeable.
